Discussion Forum - Currently Off Line

The Discussion Forum is off line while security-related issues are addressed.

Joining the Discussion Forum

  1. Using the link below, go to the Discussion Forum.
  2. As a new user, you must first register.  Click the Register link in the upper right hand corner.
  3. A pop-up will open that allows you to do the following: create a user name and password, provide your email address, post messages to the forum, and monitor private messages that people may send you in the future in response to your posts. You must first agree to the terms of use.
  4. You create your user name.  If, for reasons of confidentiality you do not want to be identified with your organization, create a unique, non-identifying user name.
  5. Your email address will not be displayed in the posting that appears on the Forum.

Guidelines
Connecting the Dots is committed to improving dialogue and communication among adult literacy providers and funders. Please abide by the following Guidelines as you participate in the Discussion Forum

Privacy

  • Your e-mail address or any other personal information you provide in registering to use the Discussion Forum will not be shared with any individual or organization.
  • Under no circumstances can you deliberately use someone else's name for your username.
  • Please note that these discussion groups are public and can be read by other registered users. Always use caution when giving out any personal information about yourself.
  • We request your email in the registration process in order to verify your identity and so that other users may send you private messages if they choose not to respond to your forum post publicly. Anyone sending you a private message does not have access to your email address. If you decide not to receive private messages you can opt out of this feature.

Respect

Personal attacks and inappropriate postings will not be tolerated. Connecting the Dots reserves the right to modify and/or remove posts to the Forum. While we encourage discussion and debate, if you are found to be attacking or harassing another individual, the Project retains the right to restrict your access to the Discussion Forum.

Staying on Topic

Please keep your posts on topic. You can always start a new discussion thread, but if you post under an existing discussion thread, please keep your messages relevant to the subject matter being discussed.

Copyright Infringement

Please do not post material that is protected by copyright. If you want to point people to an article or resource, please list only the URL (web address) of the source, or where it can be found.

Feedback

Please let us know if you have any feedback about the Connecting the Dots Discussion Forum or if you come across postings that violate these guidelines.
